We decide to talk to Oleg, the druid that we captured. He confirms that he saw a gem come in when he was at the druid's base at Jester Hill. The druids seem to be following the commands Strahd though we (and Oleg) are not sure why they were ordered to attack the Winery. Oleg seems to be pretty depressed due to the state Barovia is in and the fact that we seem to have just killed his brother. Since we don't want to kill him, we decide to keep him as a captive at the Winery for now. We talk to Elvir Martikov again and he clarifies that Urwin was on watch duty when the first gem was stolen but Urwin claims he didn't know where it went. Additionally, the family does not know who stole the second gem. After a Long Rest we plan to go to Jester Hill to deal with the rest of the druids and take Adrian Martikov, one of the ravens, with us to scout. As we leave the Winery a large black bird lands before us, carrying something tied to its neck. It's a scroll saying "Tatiana is gone, trouble in Vallaki" and seems to be from Rictavio. Lua tries to contact Ireena with a sending spell but it does not arrive.
While discussing what to do with this information, we see a sort of fireball streaking through the sky, landing somewhere to the east in the forest. We discuss some more and after a while Adrian flies back to the house. After we have finally decided to continue, we see Strahd waiting for us on the road. He confirms he has Ireena and again extends his dinner invitation, mentioning that the dinner invitation might become a wedding invitation soon. He leaves his carriage at the crossroads for us to take to his place when we are ready. Strahd does not seem to care that we are planning to attack the druids. He leaves again on some sort of fiery horse, indicating that the fireball we just saw was him arriving. On the road further toward Jester Hill we are attacked by 2 werewolves and some (dire)wolves. Calenya gets bitten during the fight and is now cursed with Lycanthropy.
